Travel days and day one! By Lizzie Fredrick

All good things to say so far! Lots of different emotions and its been an adventure. Travel days were definitely long but being at the school today with the kids made it all so worth it. The long flights weren’t even half the battle because our last stretch to get to our hotel in Kullu was a 5 hour drive and was painful. On the drive Holland decided to use my foot as a pillow(picture down below) so at least he was comfortable! The roads were windy, bumpy and cars were a little tight on space. We pulled up to the hotel at about 1:00am and everyone was exhausted. We all went right to bed because we knew we had a big day ahead of us. The next morning we woke up and 7:30am and we prepared for the school day. My groups school is 10 minutes away and we arrived there at 9:45am and we started at 10:00. The school day went smoothly and the kids were adorable. I immediately had so much love for them right when I saw them. They are truly so sweet and have such good energy. There is a little girl named Kiya who is the cutest little girl and is my new best friend. After the school day we went to town and shopped for our pant suits. We each got to pick out our own fabrics which was fun. After, we went home and had dinner and packed for tomorrow. Now we are all meeting together to discuss what went well and what we could do better to have the next school day go smoother. It has been amazing so far and I am very happy to be here.
