The curry is killing me.

Sooooo yeah. It’s weird to think that we’ve only been here for a little more than a week. It seems like it’s definitely been more like a month. I LOVE these kids and if I could take them all home, I would. There are two little girls I have connected with. Their names are both Reena (I know, right?) and they are honestly the sweetest and most adorable little girls I have ever met. Today I picked up Reena Devi and she gave me a kiss on the cheek and said, “I love you!” Yeah…. needless to say I almost cried.
Today we also went and performed our dances with all of the other schools. It was so fun to see all of the kids and to give them a taste of our culture (if you can call it that), which is pretty lame compared to theirs. The dances they perform are beautiful. One of the highlights of my trip so far has been watching the dances, and also the morning prayers that all the kids perform. It’s amazing what they memorize and how deep their culture runs. I love my team and every single person in it. A shout out to MARCI: the best expedition mom in the whole entire world. I enjoy your sass. J Also to the rest of my team (Nate, Danielle, Cynthia, Landen, Kayla) I love you. Thanks for being amazing.

Besides teaching and falling in love with these kids, India has consisted of crazy insane rainstorms, my hair being dyed yellow red and green for days, and the boys dancing and singing at the top of their lungs (that’s what’s going on right now, at least). This trip has already been a life changing experience and it is absolutely beautiful here.

The last thing I need to say is to my Mom and Dad. If you don’t have a Five Guys burger waiting for me at the airport, I will never talk to you again. WAAAAYYYYY too much curry. I love it, but I badly need an American meal.

I hope everyone is doing good at home! I love you family and I miss you friends! Much Love.
