I <3 Micro Indians

We finally made it to India after about 3 days of travel! The first 10-hour plane ride was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. We then had a 10-hour layover in London. London was so cool! All the building were so awesome. They had so many birds in London. The next long plane ride went by so fast. I slept the whole 10 hours. The car ride was easily the worst part of the travel. The roads are very bumpy and windy. Every time I would try and sleep, I would bang my head against the window. We got to the hotel at about 12 at night. The next day we got to the schools.

Our school has about is about 5 minutes away and has 45 kids. The kids are probably ages 4- 11. We got to the school, and they did a morning assembly. In the morning assembly they would resight the national anthem, say a prayer, and lots of other things. We then split the kids by age in 6 different groups. I taught about all the different shapes. All the kids would love to play with my 3-D shapes. After school we got to go the market in Kullu. All the boys got some amazing Indian outfits that we get to wear on the way home.

The 2nd day we got to the school and were greeted by all the kids at the front gate. They were all so excited to see us. The kids are starting to learn our names and are getting more comfortable with us. They will just come up and sit on you. I taught about numbers and the alphabet. They really loved using the jump rope. They are so smart and would tie the jump ropes together to make one big jump rope. When we left, we watched the kids jump between the cars. It has been a fun but very crazy few days.
