I absolutely love it here! This is definately the most amazing place I have ever been!! It is so green and beautiful. I love waking up in the middle of these mountains every day (even if there are dinosaur sized spiders in our room every night..) YMAD was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I feel like I have learned and grown so much since I’ve been here.
My favorite thing is going to the schools everyday. The kids are so happy and willing to learn. They are so outgoing and excited to see us when we get there. My cheeks always hurt because I have never smiled so much in my life. They are seriously the cutest kids ever. I take so many pictures and they love being in front of the camera! After you take a picture of them you have to prepare to be attacked.. they swarm you, wanting to see the picture. I love them all and want to bring them home with me!!! (mom and dad, I might be bringing a little indian child home with me…haha) I never want to leave my little friends!

The kids love to tickle us. We will get into HUGE tickle fights and they laugh so hard. I love hearing them laugh.. it’s contagious! Seeing their smiling faces makes all of the hiking, spider battles and cold showers so worth it! I go to bed at night and find myself thinking of the kids and how excited I am to see them. When the morning comes, all I want to do is get up to the school as soon as possible.

Our school is way up high in the mountain and the hike is super steep. When a ball accidentily gets kicked down the mountain they run after it like it’s no problem. I was scared they were going to get hurt running down the mountain, but they are so used to it. They make hiking that mountain seem so easy, but trust me.. it’s not. There is one little boy that meets us at the bottom and walks up with us. We joke that they are part goat..

To my family, I miss you and love you!!
