I cannot believe that today was the last full day with the girls. I also cannot believe how much I have grown to love and care for them in such a short period of time. One of the best feelings in the world is looking up to see a beautiful, smiling girl waving for you to come sit by her. Or when a little girl grabs your wrist and ties a bracelet they made onto your wrist. Or when you see a light go on in her eyes and she answers a question and you know that we have made a difference. Because of us, a sweet little girl knows a little more, feels a little more loved, or has a little bit more hope. They all deserve that, and so much more, but we helped them get a little bit closer to being able to fulfill their full potential.
