WOW! Thats all I can say right now. Today we had to say goodbye to our kids in the school and Ashrom, and it was the saddest thing in my life! having to say goodbye to the kids at the Ashrom made me cry my eyes out. we gave the kids at the school our presents like notebooks and clean socks and underwear. In the middle of the giving them away, I saw Bshir and Baghsain crying and from that moment on I couldn’t help it. When we were at the Ashrom we played games that we played everyday but right after we immediately had to say goodbye and i didn’t think i would cry but when I hugged the kid that had been my favorite all week his name is Baghsain (the kid in the picture) and we has the best smile and best laugh that could bring millions of people to smile and laugh! I have learned so much from this experience and the main thing i learned was the second you start giving you can’t stop. I gave them some necklaces with many laces and the minute I gave it to them they started to rip each strand and tie them to each of the teens hands including mine and i received mine from Haneef and Baghsain. Everyone in my group was crying we love the kids and always will, I definitely think i will connect with my group the most after this adventure because they will know the exact feelings i had for these kids. Today was the day I have been dreading all week. I have no idea how I am going to make it throughout the rest of this trip without seeing the kids. After this wonderful experience with YMAD I know for sure that I am coming back to see these kids again. Although saying goodbye today was hard I wouldn’t change a thing and I wouldn’t take back a single second. I don’t want to remember this sad feeling anymore this trip because it will dampen my mood but I dont want to forget their love and affections. I really wish everyone could get this wonderful opportunity as i did.

  1. What a touching blog entry, Jordan. I am so grateful you were able to experience everything you have in India. Baghsain is absolutely adorable. I am so sad you have to say goodbye, but the selfish part of me can’t wait for you to come home and hear of your adventures! See you soon.
