Limited days!! ? Emily

The days are limited here in India! Tomorrow is my last day teaching these Indian children who have had such a positive impact on my life. They are the purest humans with the sweetest hearts!!!  It will be a rough goodbye.

These past 2 days have been great. Saturday was the cultural exchange. We went to everyone schools and sang One Day and Count On Me and also performed our dance Happy. It was so fun to see everyone’s schools and the kids that they have been talking about all week. My heart melted when I saw some of the kids cry….made me cry. After we performed, we played ride that pony. The teachers were apart of it but they wouldn’t go in the middle and dance. So Lily and I tried to get them to do it and after a couple of tries they finally did it. The highlight of Saturday was watching the teachers dance.

Sunday we drove far up into the mountains to a place called Khajjiar. Looking out the window, we had an amazing view of Chamba! The houses are my favorite because they are painted with bright, vibrant colors! When we made it to Khajjiar after and hour or so car ride, I was amazed by the beauty. Rolling hills of green grass with people carrying bunnies, pestering us about taking pictures with them. My sis Rachel, took pictures with bunnies a few years ago and it was probably the funnest pic I’ve ever seen. Sadly, I didn’t take any pictures with the bunnies because everyone said the bunnies were gross and scary. I thought they were super cute but maybe that’s because I’ve had several pet bunnies that have randomly disappeared but I loved all of them.

It’s my last time blogging. This has been an experience of a lifetime and I’ve enjoyed every moment. India will forever have a special place in my heart!!!!
