James Baird is one the founder of YMAD. Although he is now in his twenties he started the first Indian expedition when he was a Junior at Highland High school. He had seen the problems in the country and wanted to make a difference. He asked 20 of his friends to participate with him in a humanitarian expedition. The first expedition took place in November 2005.

James has recently started college and is still very involved in what is happening with his children in Northern India.
