Unlocking the future …

December 3, 2012 - All Posts, 2012 Operation Ekta

What an amazing journey we have had!!  Sitting in the airport in Los Angeles I feel like I finally have a moment to reflect and try to gather my thoughts and feelings.  It is overwhelming to think how incredibly well this whole year has gone and especially the travel and time spent in India. I am truly grateful for the countless hours of time and the individual sacrifice of the teens, their parents and everyone else that has been involved.  ( especially those who work behind the scenes to make the magic happen! )  I’ve expected a lot from the teens during this  year and I was constantly amazed during the trip of how well they have grasp on to the ideals and concepts we have all learned.  Integrity, Vision, Inspiration, Courage, Service, Learning, Forgiveness and Gratitude. I am excited about what the future holds for each of these amazing teens.  It’s been said that “Volunteering is an act of heroism – it’s an act of heroism on a grand scale.  And it matters profoundly.  It does more than help people beat the odds;  it changes the odds!”  As a team we have changed the odds, tilted the scales for good and made a difference!!  Thanks to all for the experience of a lifetime! – May God bless each of us as we continue to try and be the change we want to see in the world.

 With Love,

Chad

  1. Thanks for all of the love, time and effort, blood, sweat and tears. It is felt in every heart that you touched. You are a hero!

  2. What an experience for all! Thank you to all of the leaders and folks behind the scenes that made this such a life changing event happen for our kids. You have really inspired all of these kids to realize their true potential and recognize they can make a difference in someones life. Even if it is a small one — Nothing is impossible. Not only has it changed their lives but as a parent it has been amazing to see the transformation happen over the last year. I will be forever grateful to Chad and the other leaders that loved and served with our children thru all the joy and tears.

  3. Chad, this trip could not have been as amazing as it was without the wonderful leadership you brought! I can never express how amazingly grateful I am for you and all that you have done for me personally and for all those kids in India that I have grown to love on a much deeper level than I have ever thought possible. Without you none of this would have been possible. I think you are so incredible and I couldn’t have asked for a better leader to take me on a life changing journey across the world. I can never know how much you do for us but what I do have a concept of is so incredible to me. You are so kind and loving and inspiring to me. Thank you for accepting me into this program and for changing my life. I don’t know how to thank you enough for everything. Thank you for not getting mad when I was a complete idiot and lost my ticket- how stupid could I be? haha I was so grateful for you!! I love you Chad, Thank you for everything! LOVE YOU!
