Funniest Birthday Ever…
After dinner I went in my room and started getting ready for bed, when I got news from Maddie and Brooklyn that we were having a meeting tonight. I thought it was too late for a meeting and just wanted to go to sleep.. Maddie kept telling me not to fall asleep because she didn’t want me to get into trouble. She then left to steal the last coke and it took her a really long time. I knew it wouldn’t take that long to steal a coke.. Brooklyn kept saying how tired she was and my eyelids were drooping. We fell asleep on the bed and woke up to Maddie pounding on the door yelling my name. Brooklyn let her in and she started telling us that we had to get to the meeting because Kelly was really mad. I was under the impression that we had to practice our songs and dances for the cultural exchange.

I walked up the stairs half asleep and wanting to go back to bed. Half way there Maddie coughed really loud and I knew it didn’t sound normal.. We walked up towards the campfire and I was getting kind of mad that we had a meeting this late. Right when I got to the top of the stairs I saw that everyone was huddled around the fire. Music started playing and I thought “I don’t recognize this song.. what on earth is going on..” Maddie and Brooklyn walked off to the side and I followed. Brooklyn turned to me and said “No! This is for you!” Everyone started dancing and I was really confused. Then all of a sudden Kendrick, Casey and Nate pulled their shirts off revealing the letters of my name written on their chests. They pulled me toward the fire and sat me in a chair. The chair was then lifted up and hauled around the fire by all of the guys.. they put the chair down, brought out a cake and sang Happy Birthday. It was pretty much the funniest thing ever! I will never forget my eighteenth birthday! (I can’t really forget because Maddie recorded the entire thing! haha)

I am still in shock and wondering what just happened. I never expected anything like that to happen.. and in India of all places! oh.. what a night!
