After a solid month of stressing non-stop over my Visa taking so long to get accepted and returned, I finally arrived to India yesterday! Better late than never right? I am not a fan of showing up at half time and expecting to play, so I am glad the rest of the team was still willing to have me come out and do what we set out to do more than six months ago. It’s such a good feeling to be here right now, surrounded by hard working, dedicated, intelligent, selfless, caring individuals. Blessed to be surrounded by such hardworking people, and blessed to be with Youth Making a Difference.
It hurts to think about what I have missed in the last week, so I will focus on what I have to look forward to and appreciate the here and now. Today was full of new experiences, each one was enlightening. Visiting the school and meeting the girls was something I have been looking forward to for months! So to finally be in the classroom teaching and interacting with the kids was extremely rewarding. I teach my lesson tomorrow and I am super stoked! Hopefully everything goes as planned!
