Yeah…I’m probably not ever coming home. (:

Wow.  Well this has been an amazing insane adventure…and we’ve only been in the schools two days! First I want to say thanks to Mom for helping me pack, because if you hadn’t helped put all my clothes in those bags, I probably wouldn’t have half of them. Yes, my bag did rip all the way down the straps. But I’m not complaining because at least I had my bags! Everyone here has had an amazing attitude even though we’ve had some challenges and I’m having so much fun. We started teaching Monday morning and I can’t even tell you how much I already love these kids. My team, Svartha, is at a school called Kandi. When we first walked into the school (which is in the most beautiful location ever) I was so nervous, but as soon as I saw the kids it finally hit me why we were here. I taught my first lesson on families and everything went better than I could have expected. The kids here are so eager to learn and teaching them is honestly amazing. They catch on quickly, and they are so smart! Being here with this team of people is a blessing. We’re getting to experience this journey together and I wouldn’t change one person on our expedition. We got to go on a small hike today up to a waterfall and the scenery here is breathtaking. I think I’m planning on losing my passport and never coming home. J I can’t wait to see what is to come!! I love you family, and this is the much promised shout out to my friends at home (J, A, N, S, N, T) I love you all!!! Sarah Bates
