Sweet Paradise -Jeff Lunt

SWEET PARADISE Well today was kinda a rough day...There were a lot of tears shed by everyone in the group. The little girls of the Day Boarding School truly did melt everyone’s hearts.  The tears shed were good tears but not happy tears.  They were tears of love is the only way to even come close to describing them.  There’s a song that says, “don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what ya got til’ it’s gone…” and that couldn’t be closer to the truth right now.  I felt like I had bonded with the girls a lot while we were teaching them and building them a path but looking back I don’t think I was even border line on understanding how much I loved those girls.  They really became my little sisters and my friends even though we were only with them for 5 or 6 days.  As we sang Pretty Pretty Please and One Day the words have never echoed and resonated with me more than they do right now.  Right now I can barely even put together sentences to describe the love I feel for those girls.  Sahana, my girl, I will never forget and nothing meant more to me than the tears she shed when she came to say goodbye.  I won’t ever forget this amazing experience and there is no one I can think of that I would rather have shared it with than my big YMAD Family!  These guys understand what I am talking about and in fact trying to describe it I looked at T-Jolls and said describing it would be like “It was like…yeah…you know what I’m saying…” and he did.  I just hope that when we get back to the USA we will be able to share a little bit of this experience with you!  Thank you all parents, friends and family, who helped make this experience possible you guys are amazing to let us do this and support us in it!  See you in a few days.

Love,  Jeffrey Lunt
