Namaskar!

Namaskar! Where do I even begin? I’ve honestly been dreading having to write this. I was excited, but the more I’ve tried to put this experience into words the more I realize that what’s happening here and the way I’m feeling is so impossible to describe. The most amazing part for me is the incredible amount of love I already have for these children, and the probably even bigger amount of love they have for me. The love they are capable of is astonishing. There’s no way to describe how it feels when at the end of a long, hot sweaty day teaching, swarms of beautiful girls run to you, grab your face with their sweet little hands, and pull you down to kiss your cheeks. Yesterday at the day boarding school I met so many children that I fell completely in love with, but there are 5 girls that are so special to me. Sayra, Arufa, Suktora, Ansura (probably my favorite) and Sahana. I’m so hesitant to even describe them because I know I can’t do them justice. All I know how to say is that they are amazing. Their sweet spirits encompass everything I want to become.

Ugh, so much to talk about, so little time. The driving is absolutely insane and definitely one of my favorite parts of India so far. I feel like I’m driving in Mario Cart; cars and bikes are swerving all over the streets, horns are honking all the time. Id say its average for a driver to honk their horn every 3-7 seconds. And they’re so fast. Utah drivers times 1000000. I LOVE DRIVING. The food is all so amazing, I could eat this instead of café rio for the next 10 years and be happy. That’s how great it is.

So pretty much my blog sucked compared to what I’m actually feeling. Also, I’m never coming home, sorry Mom. I never thought I’d be so excited to go out and be so hot and drenched in sweat and exhausted. It’s more amazing than I ever even came close to imagining in these last 10 months. I’d love to upload pictures but the wifi isn’t exactly the best here. I love you all so much, Alexa caleb Cassidy and Emily I hope you’re all doing well! I’ll be home sooner than you think!
