After two solid days of traveling we finally made it to paradise. Through five plane rides and six-hour Indiana Jones-like jeep rides, we made it and all the traveling has been absolutely worth it. Since I first visited Chamba for the 2011 High School expedition, I decided that I had to come back. Chamba is the most beautiful place I have ever been; it is nestled in foothills of the Himalayan Mountains and is especially beautiful during this time of year (monsoon season) because the mountains are vividly green and the clouds frame them perfectly. But the true reason why I love Chamba so much is because of the kids we get to meet and teach. They are so smart, welcoming, and loving. Some of these girls I met for the first time today but I feel like I have known them my whole life. Our team is so great; each member is so fun, including, and hard working. I am so grateful to be a part of such an amazing team. I am especially thankful that my brother is also a member of our team and I am so glad to be sharing this incredible experience with him!
