Cat McQueen

Today was quite the interesting day. The lady that cooked for our school is the strongest lady ever-not that all the local women aren’t- and packed two bags full of hygene kits up a mountain and one of the guys that was always at our school packed a filing cabinet up the mountain on his back. They are amazing. Today was our last day at the school and it was really hard. We are extremely blessed for the opportunity to come and meet these amazing children but it was ridiculously hard to leave them. I held it together perfectly until Lalita started crying. She is my little dede, my little sister. I said goodbye to her and she started crying and I lost it. The worst part is all my little dedes are probably going to forget about me, but I will never ever forget them. They are honestly some of the most amazing people I have ever met. The children never fight and they all look after each other. Trishla was our little mommy and she would always watch out for everyone else, but most of the little kids watched out for eachother anyways. Also, today I got to hold a baby lamb that was only a day old. It was the cutest thing I think I have ever seen. If you stuck your finger near it’s face it would start sucking your finger and if you put it’s face near your cheek it would start licking you. Soooo adorable. Today was a day of highs and lows and it is one day I don’t think i’ll ever forget. Shoutout to Erin Goodman and my brother Mike, I don’t know how you guys left your schools last year, that was the hardest thing I think I have ever done. Erin I’m looking forward to coming back to India with you someday! ~Cat McQueen (or Katy Perry or Cat McPrincess because apparently I can’t be Cat McQueen because I’m not married)
