I’m in love. I’m in love with the local people, my friends, our camp, the beautiful Himalayas, spicy Indian food, bartering at the markets, our drivers, our translators, the hike to our school, and most of all, I’m in love with the darling, darling children. I look at them and my heart swells within my chest; I’m overflowing with joy. I can’t even try to describe how beautiful everything is. My face is sore from smiling, my stomach from laughing, and my eyes from twinkling and winking at the children. I am not homesick, but I do miss you, Madre and Padre, and I can’t wait to share every bit of this experience with you! I love you.
