Love Is A Universal Language - Katie Llewellyn
I’ve been in India for what feels like no time at all. Yet the small, goofy kids I have been given the opportunity to teach have taught me something I will never forget; love is a universal language. I have seen it time and time again-I see it when Ashmita smiles so wide you can’t see her eyes. I see it when when Kunal runs to me each day to shake my hand and tell me good morning. I see it when Navya eagerly follows me wherever I go. I see it when Karan holds my hand and whispers Hindi into my ear. I see it when Puja embraces me as if it’s second nature. I see it when the people give so much, yet have so little. I have been truly humbled by the amount of love the people so freely give, even when they can barely pronounce my name.
I will never forget these beautiful people, who have truly shown me to live in the moment and to look for the beauty in life. Kullu will always hold a special place in my heart, and will always be my second home. I have so much love for the people who have so easily brought out the best in me, and have shown me to look for the good in others. I am forever grateful for you India, and will cherish these days forever.
