The Word is Beautiful -- Brooklyn Randle

Bear with me it’s 9 pm.

Honestly where do I even begin. My heart is so overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude it’s so hard to express with words. I want you all to know that I am happier than ever and healthy which is definitely a plus!  Today I met my angel Mamta. She wasn’t there the previous two days but as we watched their morning routine; this includes their prayers and daily thoughts and questions of the day (which might I add is the most amazing thing to watch and brings me to tears every morning!) She caught my eye instantly. She glows. Oh how I have fallen in love with her and all the children. I love my squad of girls and my two little boys. They have taught me more than I could ever teach them.

I could go on and on about the amazing mountains and beautiful people (literally BEAUTIFUL) but that’s what everyone talks about. So I just want to say how extremely grateful I am to be able to go on this expedition. There is so much hard work and time that is put in to make all of this happen. It is truly amazing. There are so many people over here who care so much and it means the world to me. I try to do my best to think of the positive I can’t even begin to want to imagine leaving these beautiful kids. So for now I think I might just stay here!

Today this sweet group of older ladies stopped us on our way back from the school and just asked us to take a picture with them. Who knew that the simple picture could make someone so happy. Out of all the lessons that the kids and people have taught me one that has really affected me is that its better to just be in the moment. Capturing the smiles, laughs, and little Indian accents. Oh how I love the people of India (btw way better than Americans…no offense!) I’m high on happiness over here and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! Sending love from roughly 10,000 miles away! See you soon! Maybe…
