I still make my bed every morning, Mom. I hope you’re proud. It consists of me putting my sleeping bag back in its bag! Hahaha but I’m in INDIA. This has been quite the experience. The travel here was a long process. I didn’t realize we had three different flights that were super long but thankfully I slept for most of the 14 hour flight. After the long flights we made it to Chamba! The driving here is absolutely insane. I say a prayer that I won’t die before I get in the car and that I will make it to my destination safely. But India is so pretty and it has been so cool to see this different part of the world. It has also really opened my eyes and made me realize how blessed I am to live where I do and for the things that I have!

The first day we got here we met the YMAD girls and they are so so precious! They are the sweetest girls and I’m so excited to get to know them even more!!! Monday we finally got to go to our schools and meet our kids. Happiest moment was when I saw the mural at the school and in the bottom corner it said Sophie. Soph is my cousin and she taught at this same school last year. We are best friends so to be able to share this same experience with her and be with the same kids made me so happy!!!!!!! We arrived at the school right as the kids began their morning prayer. I don’t think I’ve ever seen cuter kids. The first girl I saw couldn’t stop smiling. I knew we would become best friends. Her name is Disha. She is the prettiest little girl with the happiest smile. She melts my heart every time I see her! It’s super duper hard to pick and choose who your favorites are because you honestly can’t pick a favorite. They are all so cute and I want to take them all home with me!!!

I have loved my experience in India so far. It has been amazing. I’m so happy because I haven’t seen a spider in my room yet. The day I do, I might be buying a plane ticket back. Totally teasing, spiders are just my biggest fear. India has already been an experience that I will never forget and I’m looking forward to many more days here in India!!!
