I was first under the impression that I would be teaching, but I have only been taught. These little kids have stolen my heart!  I don't know exactly what else to say about how I'm doing other than I am happy and having the time of my life. I have now found my new favorite thing in the world. :)

The number one thing I have learned is to find joy in the small things. These little kids have the biggest, sweetest, brightest smiles when they know the right answer. They giggle like crazy when we play CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM. They laugh when we run around with fake lassos while playing "ride ride ride that pony". The only thing that makes them sad is not being the first one to hold my hand. :,)  They have so little material wise; holes in their shoes, no socks, blurry vision, thin sweaters, very little food and yet they find joy in loving others, even if they have "more" than them.

When teaching, I have flash cards with pictures and the English spelling of the word. I show them the picture, say the word, have everyone repeat that word, you know the drill. The other day I was teaching shapes and one cute thing kept happening after another (how it goes every single day). They pronounce everything in the most precious way! Square is "SQOO" or "SCAREAHH". Triangle is "Teewrangle", Oval is "Odarval", etc. They always get so excited to know the right answer. I would tell them to draw a heart, they would point to their chest, then mine then say "love heedee!" because they can't pronounce Hailey very well hahaha so stinking cute.

The number two thing (pun not intended) is to never take two Dulcolax and eat a huge bag of cranberries no matter how much you think you need it hahahaha

Also, quick shoutout to my village team. Brayden, Hannah, Bri, Paige, and Tim are so very wonderful. They have made this trip better than I could have imagined. Thanks for sharing your AMAZING kids/husband with me. I love them all :)
