Birthday In India - Jack Vincent
Birthday in India
Sheeeeesh I Love It
The kids are amazing. I am already dreading the day I have to say bye. Everyday I am getting better at learning and remembering the kids names! Today at school I only had to ask one kid their name and the rest I was able to remember. It really helps to know their names because when you are teaching and a kid isn’t paying attention you are able to call them and grab their attention again. I can’t believe that it is Thursday and now I only have three more days of teaching!! Day by day I am learning so much, but the their is a continuous thought that keeps popping in my head - You can create your own happiness, it comes from inside. Although these kids don’t have much, they choose to be happy and subsequently every day is a happy one. I really want to employ this idea into my life and see if anything improves. Today is my birthday and I am finally an ADULT ( but it seems like nothing really changed). Love you mom dad Chloe and noel!! Loved the letter and drawing and the cookies!! Im am so grateful for all of those people who helped me get here ! This is one of the best things I have ever done and I will never forget everything I have learned. There is one kid named Pema and the school and he is 8 years old. He is hilarious. He loves repeating me, but saying everything I say with a really funny face and funny accent. No joke , everything I say he repeats. The showers are super fun and make me feel very cave man esk. Yesterday I was heating my water with this heating rod and forgot that if you put your hand in the water with the rod then you get a nasty shock. Well I did and got a brutal shock up my entire arm and my arm was buzzing all night!! That’s India for ya. I can’t wait for the rest of the days and feel blessed to be so fortunate in America and have so much!! I can’t wait for the rest of the days here and what will come out of them ! Love you all!!
