Can I Namastay?: Jonah Feigleson

Can I Namastay?

Today was my second-to-last day in the school, we’re getting so close. The kids were super excited to see us since the weekend. I taught colors, but they already knew all of them, so we got to review the stuff from the week. It was a bit of a needed blessing, because they totally had learned a lot, and were pretty comprehensive. I got to see my progress and I felt like I actually did something.

A cool thing was the kids danced and sang for us again after school. I was so tired, but it was still so much fun. I taught a couple of the little girls to stand on my feet and we danced around, they really loved that. The funny thing about it is, these kids leave me so spent, but I’ve never been happier with being exhausted.

Yesterday was super cool, so I just have to share at least a little bit of it. The most memorable part was we got surprise letters from our parents! I was so glad because I was starting to realize how much I rely on their little mannerisms and everything they do for me (love you guys.) It was just what I needed right when I needed it. Man, these YMAD people really have this figured out haha!

Tomorrow is my last day with the kids, the YMAD Girls, our rad driver Sanjay and the Advanture Van, and Chamba. I’m so grateful for it all, it’s going to be sad to say goodbye, but I’m happy for all that I’ve taught the kids, but maybe even more, all that I have learned. So yeah, I’m feeling pretty good here in the land of cows. We’ll be back before you know it!
