so much love… — By Erin Joost

June 4, 2019 - 2019: vada ka yuva

India has been a rollercoaster. India has been full of laughter, hardships, and great memories. Before we arrived in India, I did not expect the children to warm up to us as quickly as they did. Today,13 amazing children wanted to hold my hands. Unfortunately, I only can hold 2 hands, yet the children found a way to all touch me and managed to pull me down to the ground. Everyday, my goal is to go to the school to be able to teach the children, and everyday I am surprised that I learn so much from the children. I have learned patience, love, and compassion. I have been able to apply my values that I have learned while preparing for India to real situations. I can not express the amount of love I have for the children. Although there is a language barrier, I feel like I am able to understand each and every kid and connect with them in a personal way. I can’t believe how fast it flew by…so much love.
